The Mighty Diamonds - Sweet Lady 7" Gregory Isaacs - Extra Classic
Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express - Live In Paris

These two records are shipping out today to a discerning new owner in Leipzig, Germany.

In 1978 I had already been a fan of reggae music for 12 years; but having seen Marley at The Rainbow just the year before my interest was now at a peak level. In Bath, on The London Road, was a Jamaican record import shop which I started to visit. Generally - there was no internet to research from - I would ask the owner to play me stuff he thought I needed to own. And so I have had this stunning single by The Might Diamonds for the last 47 years in my collection. Sounds as good today as it did back then.
Until 1982 Gregory Isaacs `The Cool Ruler' had eluded me. Then someone mentioned that 'Night Nurse' was getting heavy rotation on The Anne Nightingale Show and I was immediately hooked. Extra Classic is earlier material from 1978 and nowhere near as polished but all the better for it. Classic stuff indeed.

Also shipping today to Alsfeld, Germany this Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express double album recorded live in Paris in 2017.
I've been listening to CP since I was introduced to Green On Red. Seriously, I don't believe there is a bad alum in the CP discography. The latest 'Wake The Dead' blends Cumbia and Tex-Mex sounds and is one of his best, but choose any other album and you won't be disappointed.
This limited edition of 500 live release was recorded at the time of the 'Bobby Fuller Dies For Your Sins' album. Great stuff.
